Towering at 6,961 meters, Aconcagua is the highest peak in the Andes and poses challenges with its high altitude, unpredictable weather, and intense winds that make breathing and ascent difficult.

V I N S O N M A S S I F

Mount Vinson is the highest peak in Antarctica, at 4,892 m (16,050 ft). It lies in the north part of Vinson Massif’s summit plateau in the south portion of the main ridge of the Sentinel Range about 2 km (1,25 mi) north of Hollister Peak and 1.200 km (750 mi) nautical miles from the South Pole.
